Pregame Brunch For Players


The Wimmer family hosted a brunch prior to the Beloit game. Normally parents host a spaghetti dinner on the Thursday prior to games. However with no school a brunch was hosted for all varsity players. Some of the parents who helped were Jenny Wimmer, Kim Enerson, Sue Keeney, and Michele Wildes who cooked. Other parents brought fruit and potatoes. Amy Atkins came afterward and helped clean up. A special thanks to Ed Brossard for getting the tables and chairs. The brunch was a great team effort by the parents.

Players Benefit From Parent Support

The Wimmer's used the following ingrediants which were consumed in less than 20 minutes.

  • 400 eggs
  • 17 loaves of Texas toast for french toast
  • 3 Nesco Pans of cheesy potatos
  • a full Nesco of scrambled eggs
  • 5 gallons of white milk
  • 5 gallons of chocolate milk
  • several gallons of orange juice, 2 gallons of syrup
  • 2 pounds of butter, cereal
  • and a massive amount of cut up fruit.
