Calvin Nauer [88], Hayden Simonis [77] and the rest of the Viking offensive line of Cody Colson, Tyler Brossard, Lucas Wimmer, and Jacob Johnson helped sophomore running back Adam Vesterfelt run for 314 yards as the Vikings improved their record to 5-2 with the win at Madison La Follette.

Parker's defense helped the Vikings to a 17-0 halftime lead

The Viking sophomores narrowly defeated the Lancer sophomore team as Cullin Simonson kicked a 17 yard field goal with 8 seconds left in the game to give the Vikings a 24-22 win. A good snap from Charles Grafft and a hold by Dustin Richards helped the sophomores to their fifth win. Justin Devoe, Jacob Welch, and Kiefer Omelian combined to stop a La Follette player from scoring [two yard line] as darkness descended and time expired in the closely contested sophomore game. The La Follette kickoff return was an instant replay of the famous 1982 kick return by California against the John Elway led Stanford team. The only missing elements were that the La Follette band was practicing adjacent to the sophomore game field and that La Follette was stopped two yards short of a winning touchdown.
