Vikings Outlast Lancers In High Scoring Homecoming Game

Parker legend Bart Starr and his wife Cherry are shown prior to Parker's Homecoming Game. Starr who threw his first professional TD pass as a rookie in a preseason scrimmage at Monterey on August 4, 1956 was present to unveil a plaque describing his accomplishment at Monterey Stadium. A large appreciative crowd attended the presentation.

Former Parker principal Bill Reis and his wife Kaye were Grand Marshall's of Parker's Homecoming parade. Over 35 floats were in this years parade with a large percentage of the student body participating or watching

The offensive line continued to show improvement as Parker had 562 rushing yards. Above: L-R: Jordan Hart [76], Jeff Henke [65], Tyler Brossard [57], Cody Colson [64], Michael Rainiero [70], and Creed Knutson [85] line up as QB Decker Thompson calls the cadence. Below: Running back Adam Vesterfelt [20] gained 372 yards behind the blocking of fullback Cody Taber and the offensive line.

La Follette's Jaylen Plummer [#4, above left, below left] had an outstanding game. He rushed for 118 yards and scored a TD. Dan Treinen [above right #30] stops receiver Dominic Johnson. The Lancers Justin Tobias [below right, #9] a 6' 03 190 lb receiver scored 3 TD's on passes from La Follette QB Nick Anderson.
