An early start at 7:30 AM, reduced conditioning drills, frequent water breaks, and 20 minute breaks during practice helped Viking players cope with very high temperatures and humidity during the first week of practice. Craig Fischer's photographs depict a pictoral essay of the day 3 practice.

Gordon the gopher who is a resident of the Parker Football Fields could not bear to look as Coach Corey launched a rocket toward Vernon Franklin in a pass catching drill. Franklin pivoted in plenty of time to make the reception.

Many drills were executed without helmets as the extreme temperatures adjusted the normal practice routine.

Day 3 was the last day of practice not in full pads. Parker will scrimmage at Kettle Moraine on August 20th and will open conference play against Middleton at Monterey Stadium on Friday, August 27.
