Vikings Soar Like Eagles

Long time classmates "Work together And Stay Together" to successfully complete the challenges of becoming Eagle Scouts

[L-R]: John O'Leary, Tyler Brossard, and Dan Treinen are juniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the football field and in the Boy Scouts of America. Each of these Parker students have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout which is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).

Despite a full academic schedule and participation in other sports the three teammates find time to keep up with their lifting routine. Oleary [L], Brossard [R] and Treinen [below] are pictured in an early morning lifting session.

John O'Leary and Dan Treinen advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America on Sunday, February 7. Tyler Brossard attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2009. The three have been classmates since their earliest years of schooling.

They started Cub Scouts in the 1st grade under the leadership of Dave Mumma while students at St Wiliams School before joining the Boy Scouts of America in the 4th-5th grade led by Norm Tadt.

The Philmont group also included former Parker football players Patrick Ackerman, Nate Little [Eagle Scout 2009], Alex Tadt [Eagle Scout 2008] as well as Joe Treinen a former player, currently a freshman at UW Madision, who received his Eagle Scout on February 7, 2010 with his brother Dan.

Note: Parker football player Calvin Nauer who is a senior is also an Eagle Scout while fellow senior Hayden Simonis is close to attaining the ranking of an Eagle Scout.
