The tone of the game was set early as Verona senior running back Ryan McDonald [above, 5] ran for a touchdown 24 seconds into the game. McDonald is pictured above cutting inside the Viking contain before sprinting 69 yards for the score. McDonald's teammates blocked the inside pursuit setting up a running lane for the score.
