Saturday Morning Footbal: Verona At Parker 'VR' Game

The Verona Varsity Reserves visited Parker for a Saturday morning game. The temperarture was cool reminding fans and players of what the weather will be like at the end of October. Sam Fischer [52] and Dom Fowler [23] combine to stop a Verona runner. Verona won the game.

Dilley was the leading ground gainer for the Marshall Cardinals in 1968 where he was coached by a present Parker coach.

Facts you did not want to know: As fans watched action in the second quarter of the Saturday morning 'VR' game a Korean Airlines 747 passed over the campus of Parker High School. The plane was heading for O'Hare Airport about 74 miles from Janesville. Janesville is used as a landmark by planes from Denver, Portland, Seattle, and Asia as they begin descending for their landings in Chicago.
