Verona's Sam Sharer [above left] returned the opening kickoff 56 yards to Parker's 37 yardline. Verona scored two plays later. Erik Albeck [3, above right] is shown following Michael Dubanowich's [65] blocking returned the ensuing kickoff 84 yards to set up Parker's first touchdown. The first quarter ended 14-14. However Verona scored 21 points in the second quarter to take a commanding 35-14 lead into halftime.
