Wildcats Impressive In Win Against Vikings

Verona scored on a run on 2nd and 2 from the Parker 25 yard line with 1:48 left in the the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead. The Vikings took advantage of a turnover and a 6 yard run by JD Vance to make the score 6-7 with 6:32 left in the first half.

However with 6:15 left in the first half the Wildcats scored again on a 58 yard run to extend their lead to 14-6. Another Verona score with 3:56 left in the half made the score 21-6 at the halftime break.

A 2 yard run by Verona early in the 3rd quarter upped their lead to 27-6.

In the fourth quarter Verona struck again on a 23 yard pass play to make the final score 34-6. The game was called with 2:25 left because of approaching violent weather.
